Ahnimator (BlackBerry PlayBook App)4.15.11
Ahnimator is a cartoon animator for the new BlackBerry PlayBook tablet. At the moment, there are two modes. The first lets you manually add and manipulate every frame of the animation, allowing you to create cartoons in the traditional sense. The second mode allows you to draw a picture and then play back the creation of that picture. Ahnimator costs $0.99 and is available now.
Gmail Chat Exporter (Bookmarklet)2.23.11
Have you ever wanted to save your Gmail chats? Gmail doesn't have a method of exporting them, so I wrote a bookmarklet to do it. If you click the above link you'll get the minified version; here is the link for the uncompressed readable version.
- How to use:
-
- Open Gmail in your browser.
- Copy and paste the javascript into your address bar and press Enter.
- You will be prompted for the name of the contact you wish to export chats for. Enter their name exactly as it appears in your contact list.
- A new window will open and be populated with chats as they are gathered. The website title will say "Chats with {contact}" when it's finished.
- You now have an exported chat history you can save to your local computer.
I set a random delay (up to three seconds) between requests to Gmail, because if you make too many requests in too short of time, they will auto log you out of your account. My guess is they see you as malicious and try to protect the user's account. Feel free to remove the timeout and speed things up, but do so at your own risk.
Internet Explorer's default security settings don't allow you to use bookmarklets so, if you want to use it in IE, you'll need to fiddle with those. You are free to share this bookmarklet, but I ask that you give me credit and provide a link to IntuitiveUser.com.
User Rule3.25.09
An interesting use of the Digg API.
Rhadioly (Adobe AIR App)1.13.09
Rhadioly is a free Adobe Air app that reads your iTunes XML file and turns your playlists into radio-like stations. What that means is when you click on a station you essentially tune in to the station at whatever point it's playing. In this way, you don't have to listen to every song from beginning to end. If you don't know what you want to listen to, scan through your stations until you find something you like.
The stations also keep time, that is, if you haven't listened to a station in three minutes and you flip to it, you'll be listening to whatever should be playing three minutes from where you left off. You are still free to manipulate which track is currently playing, and its position. Currently, the app only supports MP3, and will disregard all other media types. Might I also suggest subscribing to my Cosmic Rhadio podcast in iTunes and enjoying it through Rhadioly. Everybody loves free music!

Homebrew music at its finest! And, it's free!
Movie Louvre8.20.08
A new approach to YouTube, using their API to design a stripped down UI. You can easily create and share playlists of YouTube videos. The category dropdown also has an option for 'Music Discography' that makes it easy to find videos for a particular musician based on their albums.
